12 Lake Tahoe School 7th graders led over 100 Incline Elementary School (IES) 3rd and 4th graders in completing 7 different science experiments ranging from which paper products you can safely flush down the toilet, to the properties of acids using lemon and onion juice. They also studied polymer chemistry properties of instant snow.

The science experiments were part of IES’s Science Festival led by Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships (SWEP). The Festival also featured three additional experiment stations led by IES parents. This is the second science forum that LTS 7th graders were able to enjoy this fall, the first being their attendance at the US Climate Alliance conference in September.

And, Save the Date: LTS Science Fair takes place Feb. 11, 2020!
