Nestled between Lake Tahoe’s scenic northern shore and Diamond Peak Ski Resort, Lake Tahoe School has occupied our secure, state-of-the art school building since 2004. Our teaching and learning facility features 56,000 sq ft of indoor teaching and learning space on five acres of property, just a stone’s throw from Lake Tahoe. On May 16, 2018, phase one of construction began on a 12,500-foot Athletics and Performing Arts Facility. Read more about our Campus Expansion project here.
Not including Happyland, which is its own educational facility, we feature 16 separate, spacious classrooms. All teachers enjoy their own individual classroom spaces. Additionally, we offer two science labs, two cafeterias, the Tahoe Basin’s only dedicated school MakerSpace, a spacious, 1,500 square-foot art room with pottery wheel, and a dedicated music room with 1,200 square feet of performance space. A playground and sports field is available for the elementary and middle school, while Happyland enjoys its own, separate playground. Lake Tahoe School is grateful for unlimited access to the Incline Village Recreation Center and tennis courts, which are within walking distance to the school. We offer swimming lessons at the Rec Center even in the coldest winter months.
