On Tuesday, December 11th, the entire 8th grade class spent the afternoon at Incline Elementary School mentoring 1st grader students and guiding them through various science experiments. The SWEP (Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships) Science Exploratorium was a great experience for all involved and a huge success thanks to the many community volunteers who made the event possible. Our LTS 8th grade students ran a number of hands-on stations including Smelly Balloons, Clay Boats, Diaper Dissection, Comet Catering, Mystery Egg and Bubble Science. The event organizers, as well as the teachers and parents involved, were all very complimentary of the LTS 8th graders and encouraged our participation in future years. Great job, 8th graders!
