On April 4th, from 6:30-8:30 pm, Lake Tahoe School will host a community-wide presentation by the acclaimed Social Institute focused on middle and upper school students’ use of technology and social media.

Free and open to the public, the workshop will help parents…

    • learn important privacy settings for apps that their children currently use or are likely to use in the future
    • understand how to navigate common online scenarios parents face regularly
    • see what using social media positively looks like
    • learn and exchange tech tips and tricks with other parents in your child’s grade

“Whether your child has a flip phone, smart phone, or no phone, whether they use SnapChat, Instagram, YouTube, HouseParty, or none of the above, the presentation will provide valuable tools for how to support positive use of social media and technology,” said Social Institute founder Ms. Laura Tierney.

Sean Kelly, Social Media Coach of The Social Institute, will lead the workshop. Mr. Kelly will also be presenting to Lake Tahoe School middle school students during his visit.
