Jim Dugdale, Executive Director of the Dave and Cheryl Duffield Foundation has asked that I share the following information and invitation with our Lake Tahoe School community. Dave and Cheryl’s gift to IHS – much like their recent major gift to LTS – is transformative and will have a lasting and important impact for years to come. The community forum allows you to find out more information about the gift’s impact on IHS and our larger Incline Village community. I hope those interested will make it a point to attend.
Here’s Jim’s invitation:
Incline High School is about to get some major renovations and upgrades, thanks to a generous gift from the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation. You’re invited to a community forum to learn more about this project on Wednesday, October 12, at 5:30 p.m. at Incline High School.
The $38 million project includes the construction of a new football field, running track, and ancillary buildings, as well as a 23,000-square-foot expansion on the west side of the current school. The expansion will include a new student hub, dance studio, culinary kitchen, and JROTC classrooms. The expansion is expected to be complete by the fall of 2024.
At the community forum, you can learn more about what the project will entail and how construction might impact the school and the community. The presentation will be led by Peter Grove, Architect from Collaborative Design Studio. Members of the District’s Capital Projects team will also be available.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, October 12, at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held inside the newly renovated Duffield Theatre at Incline High School.
