With a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Environmental Science from UC Santa Cruz, Silver brings a new and unique perspective to teaching art. While working as an Environmental Scientist with the State of California Parks and Recreation Department for the past several years, she has also taught art on a volunteer basis at Tahoe Lake Elementary. She is also an active participant in the Below the Blue Project – whose mission is to raise environmental awareness through art, including using garbage recovered from Lake Tahoe to create art projects for display and education here in the Tahoe Basin.
