Ms. Vaughan is originally from Colorado and ended up in the Tahoe area in 2009 after living in Utah, Montana, Rhode Island, and California. Ms. Vaughan has been teaching since 2007; she started in San Jose, California as a second grade teacher and then moved up to Truckee. She taught second grade at Maxwell Elementary in Sparks for four years before transferring to Incline Elementary school where she taught third grade for six years. Ms. Vaughan is an avid mountain biker and skier (especially Nordic!), and enjoys spending time with her family.
