Elena has her degree in Chemistry from Fort Lewis College in Colorado, where she taught middle school physical science and college chemistry lab courses. She and her fiance, Dillon – who grew up in Truckee – have returned to the area to make Truckee their home.
“Ms. El” has a real passion for students and teaching. She is also a huge outdoor person, with a love for mountain biking. She was the 2019 U.S. collegiate Downhill Mountain Biking champion. Certified in wilderness first aid and CPR, she’s excited to get involved in our outdoor education program.
