Diana Schlaff is in her 5th year teaching at Lake Tahoe School and has worked with young children for over twenty years. Diana is LTS’s kindergarten and first grade Spanish teacher, as well as an assistant teacher in kindergarten and first grade. You can often find her leading kindergarten math and literacy centers or guiding first grade students as a reading coach. Diana also has the unique role of being LTS’s Flex Teacher, working as our in-house substitute teacher, stepping in when needed to teach classes ranging from Pre-K to middle school. Diana also serves as coach of Girls On The Run at LTS, a national program for 3rd and 4th grade girls which promotes the empowerment and self-esteem of girls through healthy habits and exercise. Diana has a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a major in Community Studies and a minor in Elementary Education. She has studied Spanish extensively in the U.S. as well as in Costa Rica, Peru and Mexico. When not working, Diana loves backpacking and ultrarunning. She has backpacked the 171 mile Tahoe Rim Trail 6 times!
