Mrs. Burkette brings over a decade of teaching experience and has a passion for sparking curiosity in young learners. After moving from Florida to Nevada with her family in 2022, she has continued to bring her enthusiasm for hands-on, inquiry-based science into the classroom, making complex concepts engaging and accessible for all students. Mrs. Burkette blends strong content knowledge with an enthusiastic, approachable teaching style. Outside the classroom, she enjoys skiing, hiking, camping and exploring the west coast with her husband, two daughters, and dog Mucca.
