The end of the school year is always a mixed bag of activities and emotions for those of us in education. Between the endless parade of seemingly innumerable last-second activities and events, final exams and grades, and the tiredness and exhaustion that inevitably color both, there is no doubt that the year is ending. Hovering over all of this is always the impending joy of the approaching summer, tinged with a bit of sadness for old friends and students leaving, and especially those moving to another school.

Amid all the goodbyes and the smiles, there is always some of the best news of all – college acceptances for our alumni. When students graduate from Lake Tahoe School, we know they are well-prepared for their next steps into high school. Inevitably, we hear great things from these same alumni and their parents about how much they appreciated the academic challenges and support of the faculty during their learning journey as Bobcats. Imagine how much more exciting it is for us to see the college matriculation lists four years later…

We are always proud of our Bobcats – whether current students or alumni – and never more so than as they continue their learning and growth in college and beyond. The lists of our newest high school graduates and their college choices are among the most impressive on record. The LTS Class of 2021 was a hard-working group, and their outstanding acceptances well reflect that grit and determination that brought them this far.

Please join me as we wish them well in their future endeavors and encourage them to stay in touch with one another and with us. Congratulations!
