On April 28, 1997, Lake Tahoe School officially opened its doors in Incline Village, Nevada, to
students and their families as the area’s first independent, fully licensed school in the Tahoe
Basin under the name The Incline Academy. Then located in borrowed and rented space, the
School was re-stated and re-named Lake Tahoe School in 2002.

Fast forward to today’s Lake Tahoe School: education takes place in separate pre-school, lower
and middle school floors; students enjoy more than 6 classroom-based enrichment classes; our
campus includes a newly-opened, 13,000sf Athletic and Performing Arts Center which houses
athletics competition and practices, Speaker Series and community gatherings, and school and
local performances; and our students and families successfully embraced distance and remote
learning strategies to allow students to fulfill their academic year in light of the COVID-19
pandemic.

To be on campus also offers walk-ways along the newly-restored banks of Incline Creek, a
campus green, two new practice and event fields, and expanded onsite parking. All a short
walk from the beautiful shores of Lake Tahoe.

It’s good to be a Bobcat! Happy Birthday, Bobcats!
