Applying for Scholarship.
- Parents applying for a scholarship must choose the payment option they will use to pay any outstanding tuition balance if a scholarship award is made.
- Scholarship amounts are based on a family's Financial Report by SSS (School and Student Service for Financial Aid). The maximum scholarship award to a recipient is 90% of the applicable academic year's total tuition.
- The 10% nonrefundable deposit is required for all students, including scholarship recipients. However, scholarship applicants are not required to pay the deposit until the amount of their scholarship award has been determined. If this creates a hardship please contact the Business Office to make payment arrangements for the deposit.

Payment rules and refund policy
Please note: Lake Tahoe School does NOT offer a monthly payment plan. The options listed above are the only ones recognized for Lake Tahoe School tuition. Any exception to, or variation of, the options listed above must be approved in writing by the Headmaster.
Since mid-term recruiting and enrollment is unlikely to result in filling mid-term vacancies, all tuition is nonrefundable. However, Lake Tahoe School does offer tuition refund insurance. Information on the plan is included in the application packet.
|
- Lake Tahoe School accepts enrollment contracts and deposits contingent upon children's maintenance of satisfactory evaluations, good behavior and subject to the above-stated and immediately following terms. The deposit will be credited toward the tuition balance and account(s) and full-year tuition(s) must be paid pursuant to the payment option chosen (as indicated on the 2008/2009 Tuition & Fees Agreement) before any place(s) will be reserved.
- Children will not be allowed to attend classes unless or until tuition is paid by the stated deadlines pursuant to 2008/2009 Tuition & Fees Agreement payment option chosen.
- Children are entered for the entire school year. Tuition is nonrefundable and no reduction of the full year's tuition and fee obligation can be made for absence, voluntary or involuntary withdrawal, or expulsion.
- Lake Tahoe School requires that parents volunteer a minimum of 30 hours during the school year. Should parents not be able to fulfill the 30 hour commitment, a cost of $20 per hour will be charged to buy out the hours.
- A positive and constructive working relationship between Lake Tahoe School and a student's parents/guardian is essential to the fulfillment of Lake Tahoe School's educational purpose. Lake Tahoe School reserves the right to deny the privilege of enrollment or re-enrollment to any student if it concludes that the actions of a parent/guardian prevent or interfere with a positive and constructive relationship or otherwise interfere with Lake Tahoe School's accomplishment of its educational purpose.
- No transcripts will be forwarded to new schools or released to parents until tuitions are paid in full.
